International Guests at VAMK

During the last week of September the School of Health Care and Social Services and the School of Business had the pleasure of hosting visitors from abroad.

Professor Zrinka Gregov is Head of Graduate Studies Entrepreneurial Management in VERN University of Applied Sciences, Zagreb, Croatia. She is currently responsible for the quality of teaching and academic staff development in VERN. Professor Maja Kolega is teaching at the Psychology and Communications Department in VERN and her teaching program was focusing on communication skills in a multicultural environment.

Professor Marie Mackova from the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Pardubice in the Czech Republic gave interesting lectures both for nursing and social work students. Professor Mackova’s area of expertise is social work within palliative care. Professor Mackova was accompanied by her assistant dog Chuck Norris who was the favorite of the week!

A group of psychologists, nurses, doctors and social workers from Cairo, Egypt visited the Department of Nursing to learn more about the nursing education in Finland.
