The members of VAMK’s international audit group have been nominated

VAMK has agreed on an international audit of its quality system with FINEEC (Finnish Education Evaluation Centre) and the date of the audit is set on March 23-24, 2021.

The following members have been appointed to the audit team:

  • Professor, Rector Emerita Eva Werner, IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems, Austria (puheenjohtaja)
  • Higher education Policy Advisor Touko Apajalahti, Technology Industries of Finland
  • Bachelor Student Jade Brouns, Fontys Institute for Applied Sciences, the Netherlands
  • Quality Manager Tero Janatuinen, JAMK University of Applied Sciences.

The audit comprises of four evaluation areas, which are I HEI creates competence, II HEI promotes impact and renewalIII HEI enhances quality and well-being and the fourth area is HEI as a learning organisation. The theme for the fourth area is optional and VAMK has chosen Working life cooperation as the theme. Peer learning has been introduced as a new element in auditing, with the aim of promoting learning from another community. VAMK 's choice as a peer learning partner was Yrkeshögskola Novia, and the target of the peer learning is the thesis process; ‘Graduation in time through a fluent thesis process’.

 

VAMK's current quality label is valid until April 9, 2021.
