- Graduation is a significant transition rite for the student, and it deserves its place and prestige, as well as a decent celebration. We see this as such a valuable thing for society and the individual that we want to offer this opportunity, comments Kati Komulainen, VAMK's new rector.
Despite the exceptional circumstances, normal life continues, albeit in new ways. VAMK wants to bring graduates and relatives together to celebrate graduation, although now we have to avoid physical contact. On the other hand, we want to make possible the participation of loved ones and relatives even around the world.
- On the other hand, this is also a great opportunity. Many student's family and relatives live in different parts of Finland, so now, for example, grandparents and other older relatives who live further away can participate in the occasion remotely, Komulainen reflects.
