Vaasa Energy Institute (VEI) arranges Nordic Conference on production and use of renewable energy on July 9th−11th, 2008.

Main topics of the conference are Renewable energy sources, Energy and community and Energy grids. Participants have an opportunity to visit Vaasa Housing Fair and get acquainted with area's energy solutions.

Vaasa Energy Institute is a cooperation organisation to combine the know-how within the field of energy, and was founded by the University of Vaasa Faculty of Business, Faculty of Engineering and Levón Institute together with the Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu, University of Applied Sciences and Svenska yrkeshögskolan, University of Applied Sciences. The function of Vaasa Energy Institute is to offer energy research, consultancy and supplementary training services to energy actors at local, domestic and international levels. The know-how of the Energy Institute combines business and technical expertise in a unique manner.
