Senior Lecturer Antti Virtanen is Teacher of the Year

VAMK, University of Applied Sciences Teacher of the Year is senior lecturer Antti Virtanen. He teaches telecommunication engineering in both Finnish and English.

Some of the reasons for voting Mr. Virtanen in the teacher of the year:

“He makes different subjects really interesting and is really good at keeping students awake"
“He demands a lot from students as well as himself"
“Antti inspires us to learn and it's important for him that we also learn what he teaches"

The purpose of choosing the teacher of the year is to motivate teachers. With this recognition VAMK brings out the importance of teaching and motivates teachers to develop themselves constantly.
