Accessibility Statement for Vaasa University of Applied Sciences
This accessibility statement applies to the service www.vamk.fi. The statement was updated on December 3, 2024.
The website is governed by the EU Accessibility Directive and the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which require public online services to be accessible. The objective is to ensure equality in the digital society and uniform accessibility standards. The website adheres to the WCAG 2.1 standard at the AA level.

Links: The site contains links where the visible text does not match or form part of an accessible label.
Buttons: The site includes buttons that lack accessible names or have empty names.
Infographics and other visuals: Not all images on the site include text alternatives, and the contrast of certain elements does not meet the minimum requirements.
Disproportionate Burden
The site includes PDF and Word attachments that were primarily created before the Accessibility Directive came into effect. Our aim is to convert all PDF and Word content on the site into web pages, ensuring that the information provided meets accessibility requirements.
