International experts graduate from us

According to VAMK’s strategy, our goal is to train international experts for the region’s working life. We want VAMK graduates to have accumulated international experience and knowledge during their studies that they can use in their future jobs. This will be achieved by offering internationalisation through teaching, student placements and joint international studies. When possible, we will also recruit more staff with foreign backgrounds. We will seek to implement international RDI projects, particularly with strategically important partners.

The international region requires expertise

Internationality has been a part of VAMK since the very beginning. The Vaasa region is one of Finland’s strongest export regions (12% of Finland’s total industrial exports) and there is a high demand for people who understand international business. VAMK’s aim is to train international experts for the region’s working life. Our students graduate with the international experience that export-oriented working life requires.

Internationality as a part of learning

Our students grow in internationality through internships and exchanges abroad, but also on our own campus – we currently have students from 45 different countries! Visiting lecturers from abroad and international projects develop your professional skills in a multicultural environment.

We support the movement of both our students and staff and have 100 partner universities around the world. We also develop and offer dual degrees with our European partner universities.
