School Social Worker offers low-threshold support
Vaasa University of Applied Sciences’ new School Social Worker, Toni Valkeakari, offers students low-threshold support and guidance in matters related to life situations, studies, and wellbeing.
During their studies, students may face challenges such as time management, difficulties starting or completing assignments, concentration issues, lack of motivation, stress, or performance anxiety. Students can also seek support from the School Social Sorker for learning difficulties.
Toni wishes all students success in their studies and encourages them to make use of the social worker services whenever needed.
“You do not have to face challenges alone, and it is important to seek help early,” says Toni.
Students can meet with the School Social Worker either on campus in person or remotely.
Appointments for both remote and on-campus meetings can be booked through the online appointment calendar on the VAMK website.
