Transformer Work at Technobothnia in Week 42
Planned transformer station work will take place at Technobothnia during week 42 (Monday–Friday). The work will affect the building’s electricity supply and operations throughout the week.
Two short power outages, each lasting about 20 minutes, are expected: one on Monday morning and another on Friday evening. The exact times will not be announced in advance, so students and staff are advised to follow daily updates on internal channels and notice boards.
For the rest of the week, the building will operate on backup generator power. Short-term power spikes may occur during connection and disconnection, which can affect computers and sensitive devices. In addition, ventilation and the compressed air system will not function while the generator is in use. As a result, indoor air quality may deteriorate quickly, and some facilities – including certain laboratories and the lower yard – will remain closed.
Students are asked to take the situation into account in their work. Files should be saved manually on a regular basis, and sensitive experiments or projects should not be scheduled during this period. It is also important to follow on-site signage and instructions to ensure safe working conditions. Access to the construction laboratory and the lower field (Sports Club) is prohibited.
