Project Description
The Career Compass project supports individuals in employment, career planning, and skills recognition, while helping them find suitable training opportunities. It is especially designed for people at a career crossroads or seeking employment. Particular attention is given to vulnerable groups, including early-career and late-career individuals, women, refugees, immigrants, and people with less formal education.
The project will develop an online training program and toolkit that enable participants to identify and shape their career paths, recognize skills gained through work experience, and explore further training options to support professional growth. At the same time, it promotes the integration of refugees and immigrants in the EU, strengthens their participation, and reduces the risk of social exclusion.
In addition, the project provides targeted training for career coaches, counselors, employment service staff, and continuing education professionals. This training equips them with practical tools and methods to better support their clients in career development and transitions.
Project Objectives
The key objectives of the project are:
- to strengthen the employment and training opportunities of vulnerable groups,
- to provide tools for career planning, skills recognition, and educational pathways,
- to promote equal opportunities in the labor market, particularly for individuals facing career transitions,
- to support the integration, employment, and participation of refugees and immigrants,
- to strengthen the competences of professionals, such as career coaches and employment service staff, in applying the project’s methods in practice.
Results
The results of the project will be freely available online and include:
- a training framework and guide for identifying challenges, opportunities, and needs,
- a training program and toolkit for building and developing career paths,
- a user guide for individuals at a career crossroads or seeking employment, supporting both independent and guided learning,
- a user guide for career coaches and employment service professionals, enabling the effective use of the project’s methods in training and guidance.
