The sixth West Coast Cooperation workshop will bring together experts from different sectors to develop cross-cutting solutions in the fields of energy, security of supply and overall societal security. This two-day event will provide a unique opportunity to discuss and develop cooperation in the Kvarken region, as part of a stronger regional competitiveness and vitality. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to network and work together with Swedish colleagues.

12:00 Gathering at the Vaasa port terminal

Welcome and preparation for the voyage

13:15 – 15:45 Boat trip Vaasa-Uumava, m/s Aurora Botnia

Lunch (Christmas buffet)

14:00 – 15:30 Workshop programme, Aurora Botnia floating laboratory

Theme 1: Ports of the future and their security of supply, Tommi Tuominen, Development Director, KvarkenPorts Ltd (title to be confirmed early this week)
Theme 2: Welfare and safety of young people and families with children as part of overall security.

14:15 Workshop continues:

Summary and sharing of ideas and thoughts for further work

15:45 Departure from the ship to the bus

16:00 – 16:30 Bus from Umeå Holmsund harbour to hotel

18:00 – 22:00 Dinner at the hotel with Swedish colleagues

West Coast meets Umeå dinner: networking in themed table groups
