Content

The course provides skills to develop personal employee experience in digital knowledge work. It focuses on understanding the challenges of the digital employee experience and how to improve it. How do you perceive and feel about interactions and tasks with digital technologies?

After completion of this course, you will be able to

  • understand the meaning of digital employee experience (DEX)
  • assess your digital skills and work requirements
  • identify problems in digital work influencing experiences
  • develop digital employee experiences to increase well-being and productivity in knowledge work.

The course consists of four following modules:

  1. Set the scope – What does digital employee experience (DEX) mean and why it matters?
  2. Define the focus – What are your digital skills and work requirements?
  3. Identify problems – How can you explore and identify problems in digital work influencing experiences?
  4. Improve experience – How can you develop your digital employee experiences to increase well-being and productivity?

Mode of Teaching and Methods

This is a 100 % self-paced online course. The course provides a flow of introductory texts, videos, and learning tasks accessible at any time on the Moodle platform.

Additional learning material includes expert presentations about different aspects of digital employee experience, and task templates to map and develop digital employee experiences.

  • Self-study materials are available on Moodle.

Assessment

Passed/failed. You must achieve 80% of the final multiple-choice test to pass the course. You can take the test as many times as you like.

Schedule and Location

  • This is a self-paced online course with no fixed schedule. Non-stop enrolment. The course starts when the student login to the Muova Moodle platform and enrol the course.

Instructions for starting and completing the course:

  1. Go to the Muova Moodle platform. Click on the lock icon in the upper right corner of the site and log in. To gain full access to the platform, you must first create a user account and accept the privacy policy. 
  2. Confirm your new account by clicking on the link in the email you will receive from muovadigital@gmail.com.
  3. Enrol in the DEX Skills course and start learning! 
  4. Complete the final test and apply for ECTS credit:
    Once you have passed the final test, you can download a non-formal Moodle certificate and save it to your computer. Apply for ECTS credit from the Open University of Vaasa Applied Sciences via Opintopolku and attach your Moodle certificate to the application. Your credit will be transferred to Opintopolku within 30 days of submitting your application, with the exception of July due to the summer holidays. You can view and share information about your studies at Opintopolku.
