We have the most modern teaching laboratory in the Nordic countries, Technobothnia. Here you can take part in projects for companies and practice practical skills with equipment that is also used in working life.
The equipment used in our teaching is always world-class and preferably local production, which guarantees students an advantage in finding employment in the region’s companies. VAMK is ABB’s only certified robotics trainer, which also offers training for professionals that already are employed.

Vaasa is home to the most important energy technology hub in Finland and the Nordic countries, and a large number of international export companies. The 160 companies in the hub export products and solutions all over the world and repatriate a significant part of global energy investments to Finland. EnergyVaasa is responsible for a third of Finland’s total energy technology exports and employs a quarter of the total workforce.
