Ville Isoherranen appointed as Deputy Rector of VAMK

Ville Isoherranen, the Director of the School of Technology, has been appointed as the Deputy Rector of Vaasa University of Applied Sciences.

The Board of Vaasa University of Applied Sciences has appointed Ville Isoherranen (D.Sc. Tech) as the Deputy Rector, effective from December 12, 2023. Isoherranen has been serving as the Director of the School of Technology at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences since August 2023. Previously, he worked as the Director of the Engineering and Natural Resources Unit at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. He has also led the research activities of Oulu University’s international research institute. Isoherranen has diverse experience in the business world, having worked in leadership roles in both large international companies and small technology startups throughout his career.

“The appointment of Ville Isoherranen as our Deputy Rector strengthens our leadership system in an excellent way. This allows us to respond even more effectively to future challenges,” says the Rector and CEO, Kati Komulainen.
