Assignment to AM Academy

At AM Academy, students have the opportunity to engage in research, development, and innovation work for 3D printable products alongside product experts from companies.

Students independently or in small groups carry out company assignments related to additive manufacturing, under the guidance of teachers and product experts. A project plan is created for the assignment, including a timeline and, if necessary, an NDA agreement. The plans are approved by the client as the work progresses.
The assignment content can involve 3D design for a new product, development of an existing product for 3D printing, or optimization of the product for weight, strength, flow dynamics, functionality, or other characteristics. For example, tools, grippers, and jigs used in robotics are often suitable targets.
As a learning environment, AM Academy emphasizes interaction with the client, networking skills, and systematic project work. All of these are essential in today’s workplace. Companies benefit from the fresh ideas and perspectives students bring to their products.
