Youth Outreach
Outreach youth work is intended for 15–29-year-old young people in Vaasa who need support with planning their future or managing everyday life.
The service is voluntary, free of charge, and confidential. Outreach youth workers never make decisions on your behalf or guide you anywhere without your consent.
An outreach youth worker can help you with, for example:
- support with planning your future or everyday life
- needs help with housing or financial matters
- is thinking about issues related to mental health, substance use and/or drugs
- provides guidance to the right services when needed – and much more
If something is on your mind, don’t hesitate to ask – let’s figure it out together.
Viivi Ahonen works as the outreach youth worker on campus. She is available in person every Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in room A1128.
You can also reach Viivi by phone at 040 481 3521.
Remember, the student support officers are here for our students also outside of duty hours!
